Authors: Trajković, Jelena; Đorđević, Darko; Ruso, Jelena
Abstract: Danas smo svedoci ubrzanog razvoja, kao direktne posledice globalizacije iz prethodnog veka. Ubrzani razvoj i
dinamično okruženje suočavaju građevinsku industriju sa ubrzanim regulatornim promenama, globalnim pritiscima održivog razvoja, zahtevima energetske efikasnosti i odgovornog odnosa prema životnoj okolini. Zahtevi zainteresovanih strana prate ove trendove i „nameću“ potrebu organizacijama za redefinisanjem načina poslovanja.

Title: CULTURAL TOURISM - AN ELEMENT OF IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF THE OFFER AND COMPETITIVENESS OF THE TOURIST DESTINATION
Authors: Popović, Ivana; Garabinović, Dušan; Zajić, Milan
Abstract: Tourism occupies an increasingly important position in the global economy. Attractions are the main reasons tourists visit a certain destination, and cultural attractions are among the main types of attractions. Culture represents one of the main potentials for the growth and development of tourism. The tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the destination is characterized by its ability to attract tourists. Tourism that focuses on cultural attractions is known as cultural tourism. The subject of this paper is cultural tourism as an element of improving the quality of the offer and the competitiveness of the tourist destination. The mentioned subject is realized through the presentation of the development and importance of cultural tourism as a specific form of tourist movements, as well as cultural tourists whose main motive for visiting is precisely culture, i.e. its different forms. The aim of this paper is to present the strong connection between culture and tourism, which are recognized as two powerful drivers of economic and cultural development.

KNOWLEDGE-DRIVEN QUALITY: THE ROLE OF KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT (KM) AS THE STRATEGIC PREREQUISITE FOR TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT (TQM)

Title: KNOWLEDGE-DRIVEN QUALITY: THE ROLE OF KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT (KM) AS THE STRATEGIC PREREQUISITE FOR TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT (TQM)
Authors: Zajić, Milan; Popović, Ivana
Abstract: This review paper explores the fundamental role of knowledge as a vital organizational resource and analyzes the indispensable synergy between Knowledge Management (KM) and Total Quality Management (TQM) in achieving and sustaining competitive advantage and performance excellence in the modern, knowledge-based economy. The paper employs a systematic literature review approach to synthesize and establish the conceptual relationship between Total Quality Management (TQM) and Knowledge Management (KM). The methodology involved identifying and analyzing relevant theoretical and conceptual frameworks, with a specific focus on the core principles of KM and foundational quality models, such as W. Edwards Deming's 14 Points for Management. The findings confirm that KM is a strategic prerequisite for continuous improvement (the central goal of modern TQM). Deming's principles — such as the mandate for a new philosophy committed to learning (Point 2), building quality through expertise rather than inspection (Point 3), investment in research and education (Points 1 & 5), systematic training (Point 6), and breaking down inter-departmental barriers (Point 9) – explicitly demand the effective transfer, creation, and sharing of knowledge to build quality into processes from the start. This paper underscores that the successful integration of KM into Quality Management Systems (QMS) is not merely beneficial but a necessary precondition for survival in a dynamic market. It provides a structured conceptual foundation, supported by quality theory, arguing that quality is inherently knowledge-driven.
