This research focuses on Complexity Leadership Theory (CLT) and the relationship between leadership – examined through the lens of CLT – and organizational maturity as an indicator of performance of health organizations. It adopts a perspective that conceptualizes organizations as complex adaptive systems (CAS) and draws upon a survey of 189 managers working in Serbian health organizations. As the results indicate a dependency between functions of leadership and levels of the maturity of health organizations we propose a model that connects the two. Also, this research examines the relationship between complexity leadership, maturity and organisational outcomes. The study investigated the CLT and maturity in relation to the outcomes of healthcare organisations. The organisational performance was measured using health care quality indicators. The aim of this part of the research was to explore whether a complexity thinking has an impact on organizational outcomes. It has been found that different levels of complex leadership functions have an influence on several quality indicators. Also, the findings revealed that different kind of maturity have аn influence on several quality indicators.en
