Today, logistics and supply chain management is attractive and very demanding field for a professional career. The competences that the employers in this field require from employees continue to evolve and change. This paper aims to provide a longitudinal assessment of two studies of online ads of logistics and supply chain management jobs conducted in the Republic of Serbia. Both these studies used the same methodology of collected, coded and analysed job ads. The ads were analysed by deductive content analysis and related quantitative indicators. The aim is to reinforce the results of these studies by searching statistical similarities in professional and fundamental competences of logistics and supply chain managers. Also, several studies done in the US, the UK, Germany, Brazil, etc. will be used for drawing conclusions. The outcomes of this paper can be valuable to educators, to educational and professional institutions, and to other interested parties.en
