Testing is an integral part of software engineering. When teaching this discipline, educators choose testing approaches to be implemented in their classes. But many of these approaches, no matter how well devised or comprehensive, fall short of being simple and straightforward to use. Furthermore, students still face issues like: where to start, what should tests consist of, how much testing is enough etc. This paper describes a practical approach for functional testing specifically designed for students. It is meant to be intuitive, simple and thorough, so good testing results can be achieved.sr
