dc.description.abstractThis paper offers an analysis of the situation and perspectives in the use of social networks as social media to improve the relations among the participants in education. Social networks provide a social interaction and networking among the participants in the educational process. They represent a tool for networking and communication of persons who are in search of new trends in education, business and entertainment. Services and applications of the social network analysis are described. Demographic data, applications for users and social network marketing are shown for Facebook, as well as the example of Facebook marketing on the portal for e-education in the scope of the Laboratory for e-business. Trends of social network application in distance education are considered, too.sr
