An E-business Model for the Fashion Industry Based on Blockchain Technologies and NFTs

Abstract

This article presents an example of an innovative e-business model for the fashion industry based on blockchain technologies. Concepts related to Web3 and blockchain are analyzed, with a special focus on the analysis of existing business models and the changes that blockchain brings. The aim of the research is to show the integration of existing forms of e-business with the Web3 environment, blockchain platforms, and the NFT marketplace. As a proof of concept, an example of developing a business model for the fashion industry based on blockchain and NFT technologies is presented. The proposed model should show how blockchain technologies can be applied in the supply chain of the fashion industry to track business transactions between all stakeholders. A special focus is on the presentation of the developed prototype of smart contracts using the Solidity programming language, and the implementation of the Fashion NFT Marketplace.
