Semantic Web represents the next phase of World Wide Web development that will make information resources understandable and process able by both people and machines. In order to make the idea of the Semantic Web applicable in practice, it is necessary to provide adequate infrastructure that would be primarily based on ontologies and semantic markup of all Web resources. Semantic markup (annotation) of resources that are going to be published on the Web demands additional efforts from their authors, particularly when those resources should be frequently updated. Besides, Web content authors who typically are neither programmers nor ontological engineers, should acquire knowledge about new tools (annotators) and languages (ontological languages) in order to be able to enrich their documents with semantic markup. In order to overcome this barrier to the Semantic Web development research efforts are directed towards extending functionality of existing authoring tools as well as developing new tools that would integrate processes of Web resources creation and annotation.en
