This paper investigates the use and knowledge level of Power BI users, as a business intelligence tool, in various organizations in the Republic of Serbia. A literature review based on the Web of Science confirmed that the use of Power BI is a relatively new and rapidly growing research topic, with dominant applications in education and business analytics. A quantitative study, conducted through an online survey, included 132 respondents. Demographic characteristics, methods of acquiring knowledge, length of use, and user roles in applying the tool were analyzed. The results show that the length of experience with Power BI, the number of roles assumed, and the level of seniority significantly influence self-assessed knowledge, while gender, age, and education are not statistically significant factors. Based on the research findings, key advantages and limitations of the tool were identified, providing guidelines for improving education and enabling more efficient implementation in business environments.en_US
