Integrating dynamic technology management models using analytic hierarchy process

Abstract

Competence and value - chain models (CM & VCM) support technology management in view of the global trends: globalization, time compression and technology integration combined with intensive ICT development affecting firms today. The need for cooperative technology management systems erase the boundaries between macro and micro economic approaches focusing on balance in treating external and internal factors, operative and strategic issues, innovativeness and status quo, integrated within the process of change. The dynamic perspective is introduced by the traditional life-cycle model (LCM) analysis and the paper combines the models using analytic hierarchy process (AHP) in an effort to create a measurable, quantifiable, comparable approach in evaluating candidate technology options.
