In this paper we are presenting the methodology for design and implementation of the knowledge based system. The methodology is based on case-based reasoning, which is further based on multicriteria decision-making. We are also presenting our view of information systems development. We are showing that knowledge can be presented in form of cases, which are multicriteria alternatives. Thus, the process of retrieving knowledge can be done with multicriteria decision-making models. We also developed the loan advising application upon which we proved our assumptions.en
