U ovom radu se daje kratak prikaz karakteristika POP*(Process, Organisation Product and Others) metamodela i MPCE (Modelling Platform for Collaborative Enterprises) arhitekture. POP*metamodel i MPCE platforma su rezultat višegodišnjeg istraživanja i razvoja u okviru ATHENA (Advanced Technologies for Interoperability of Heterogeneous Enterprise Networks and their Application) projekta.
The paper presents an approach to validate interoperable cross-enterprise partial models exchange founded on POP*meta-model. POP*(that stands for Process, Organization, Product and others) meta-model was developed within the EU-funded ATHENA (i.e., Advanced teeTechnologies for Interoperability of Heterogeneous Networks and their Applications) Integrated Project. The paper discusses the main problems with regards to the current usage of Enterprise Modelling Languages. The background information about POP*meta-model and MPCE supporting architecture are reviewed. The business case is described as well as the main steps that we performed in order to validate the POP* meta-model. Finally, a summary of the experiences and the potential use of POP*in practice are discussed.en
