Životni ciklus proizvoda - pristup, inicijativa, osnovni pojmovi

Abstract

Poput živih organizama, svaki proizvod ima svoj životni ciklus: proizvodi se od sirovina, transportuje do mesta prodaje, kupuje, koristi i na kraju odlaže ili reciklira. U svakoj fazi životnog ciklusa proizvod ima određenu ekonomsku interakciju (troškovi proizvodnje, profit) i interakciju sa životnom sredinom (trošenje prirodnih resursa ili emisija). Pristupom koji uzima u obzir životni ciklus, doprinosi se ostvarivanju održive ekonomije; u tu svrhu razvijeni alati, programi i procedure pomažu donošenje odluka zasnovanih na principima životnog ciklusa. Proizvođači koji teže razvoju proizvoda čija je reciklaža jednostavna, mogu koristiti ocenu životnog ciklusa kao alat koji omogućava izračunavanje uticaja na životnu sredinu redizajniranog proizvoda, poređenjem životnih ciklusa. Analizom životnog ciklusa moguće je izbeći 'pomeranje problema' (iz jedne u drugu fazu životnog ciklusa, sa jednog na drugo mesto, iz sadašnjosti u budućnost). Korišćenje analize životnog ciklusa pomaže otkrivanju tačaka u životnom ciklusu, gde je moguće uz manje troškove sprovesti poboljšanja procesa uz veće pozitivne efekte. Redizajniranje proizvoda radi efikasnije reciklaže, često jeftinije nego usavršavanje metoda za reciklažu.U pojedinim slučajevima, za postizanje poboljšanja, jednostavno se zahteva korišćenje pristupa u smislu životnog ciklusa. Predmetnim radom dat je sažet pregled razvoja svesti o životnom ciklusu i inicijative za postizanjem održivog razvoja, uz osvrt na osnovne pojmove i metodološki pristup.

Equal to living organisms, products have a life cycle as well: they are produced from raw materials, transported to the shops, bought and used by consumers, and eventually disposed of. At each phase in their life cycle, products interact with the environment (extraction or addition of substances), and with the economic (the costs to produce, or the profit to sell a product) and social systems (the personnel needed to transport from factory to shop). Governmental and corporate programs, for instance, are programs that aim to reach (a part of) a life cycle economy. Using life cycle approaches help to avoid problem shifting; where environmental problems are not solved but (partly) shifted (from one stage of the life cycle to another, from one place in the world to another, from this generation to future ones). Using life cycle approaches can help to find places in the life cycle, where improvements can made cheaper and/or have greater effects. Redesign of products to increase its recycling efficiency often turns out to be cheaper then the improvement of recycling methods. And thirdly, in some cases, using life cycle approaches is purely required to achieve improvements. The aim of this report is to give the short overview on Life Cycle Thinking, initiatives and approach for achieving sustainable development.
