dc.description.abstractVNS has proven to be very successful for solving continuous optimization problems. In this paper we investigate a new hybrid heuristic for solving global unconstrained continuous optimization problems. In fact, we extend Gaussian variable neighborhood search metaheuristic with enhanced genetic algorithm for local search. Efficiency and quality of solution is tested on standard test functions. We obtained encouraging results in comparison with other approaches.en
