Abstract: Improvements to product quality can be achieved only by controlling all factors impacting product quality (FIPQ). In a real business system there are a great number of FIPQ, while the processes that are going on are stochastic. For this reason a mathematical model of the system gives us the possibility of simulating different combinations of FIPQ, reducing the level of uncertainty in decisionmaking. A Markov chain will be used to model the stochastic processes of a system of quality management and selection of the optimum set of FIPQ.
