Abstract: Poslednjih 20 godina razvoj informacionih sistema ŠIS) evaluira kroz seriju metodoloških pristupa.
For the last 20 years, the information system (IS) development has been evolving through a series of methodology approaches. From structured analysis to information engineering and object-oriented analysis, each of them has attempted to overcome the deficiencies of its predecessor and help information analysts to simply and correctly present their understanding of the real world business rules. While the schemes for modeling business rules have changed with each paradigm shift, the subject of the modeling effort - the business rule - hasn't changed. Each evolution in methodology approaches focuses more intensely on the point of stability: data over processes. However, the existing methodology approaches are not satisfying, first of all because of using different syntactic constructs for specification of the semantic concepts of the same kind. The current state of development of original, logic-based methodology approach is presented in the paper. It pretend to become the next evolution phase in methodology approaches development. Besides of unique syntax for arbitrary complexity business rules specification, the suggested methodology approach helps information analysts validate that the captured business rules are not only correct, but consistent and complete as well.
