Abstract: In recent years e-Learning has grown into a widely accepted way of learning. With a spectacular growth of the number of users, services, education contents and resources, elearning systems have become large-scale and therefore forced to use new technologies and concepts within the system. One of emerging technologies for implementing reliable and scalable infrastructure for e-learning is cloud computing. Advantages brought by the implementation of this technology are often accompanied by issues related to problems of security, privacy and personal data protection. In this paper, we analyze the risks that appear during the exploitation of the e-learning system based on the cloud computing concept, and propose a model for overcoming the most common problems.
