Abstract: In this paper, we introduce a digital twin (DT) strategy as a component of smart mobility aimed at reducing traffic issues. Our core concept involves utilizing a DT city congestion management model to address traffic challenges in major cities within GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) nations. This approach aims to reduce transportation times, mitigate potential risks, cut down on costs, and lower CO2 emissions in alignment with environmental sustainability goals. Our solution builds upon a hybrid model-based DT framework developed by a group of Korean researchers. The key takeaway is that the implemented DT model significantly enhances our ability to predict potential congestion compared to existing models.
