Abstract: This research proposes a methodological approach to using the social network Instagram® as a tool for collaborative e-learning activities in higher education. Collaborative e-learning activities are conducted on Instagram® through challenges and quizzes. The main aim of these activities is to encourage students’ creativity, motivation for learning, and collaboration through mutual interaction in assessing responses to challenges. The collected data were analyzed using social network analysis methods. The results showed students’ positive attitudes towards e-learning on social networks and readiness to use Instagram® for collaborative e-learning. The results further showed that social network analysis could provide teachers with valuable information about the students’ interactions and group dynamics, allow teachers to identify groups of students, and adapt teaching and learning strategies accordingly.
