After a brief report on the main terminology planning activities in the past three centuries, the article focuses on the present terminological issues in the Serbian language, outlines institutions and associations responsible for Serbian terminology planning and terminology management and sketches out their responsibilities and projects. The article then summarizes the main terminography products available online or in print, and presents the most productive term formation mechanisms in the Serbian language, followed by the types of term variation resulting from them.
