Abstract

Environmental problems are becoming a dominant factor in business and in every area of human activities, one reason for it being the continuous worsening of the general state of the environment and the quality of life. As a consequence appear not only the international and state regulations and controls, but a rise in the application of formal management systems and their link to environmental management. By introducing standardized and well documented management systems that relate to the protection of the environment, we enable the tracking of all environmentally relevant factors of business, with the possibility of applying suitable proactive strategies of action. Those systems include Total Quality Management – TQM and Total Quality Environmental Management - TQEM.
