Abstract: Inovacije predstavljaju jednu od konkurentskih sila organizacije kojom ona ostvaruje odabrani pravac konkurentnosti: prednost troškovima (cenama) diferencijaciju proizvoda/usluga i responzivnost. Predstavljen je model inovacionog procesa i bliže određena specifičnost inovacionih projekata. Posebno su istaknuti rizici inovacionih projekata. Kompleksnost menadžmenta inovacionih projekata vezuje se za činjenicu da troškovi svih faza inovacionog procesa predstavljaju i svojevrsno ulaganje, investiranje za budućnost. Strogi kriterijumi ekonomske efikasnosti u kontroli i vođenju ovih projekata dopunjavaju se analizom njihovog doprinosa strateškim pravcima razvoja organizacije, razvoju kreativnosti i sinergetskim efektima neprekinutog i diverzifikovanog lanca inovativne aktivnosti koji se sagledava kroz dugoročne, dugotrajne efekte u izgradnji inovativnih kompetentnosti kao oslonca dugoročne konkurentnosti organizacije.
Innovations represent one of the competitive forces affecting competitive strategy: based on costs (prices), differentiation and firm responsiveness. The main phases of the innovation process are analyzed in relation to specific characteristics of innovation projects. Special attention is given to different innovation project risks. The complexity of managing innovation projects is also analyzed in terms of costs of all the activities that are interpreted as investments into firm creativity for the future. It is emphasized that rigid criteria of economic efficiency of these projects is to be combined and broadened with the strategic effects they produce, related to creativity development and long-term, long-lasting effects in building innovative competencies as corner stones of strategic firm competitiveness.
