Abstract: In our previous work we developed the LOCO ontology framework which formalizes the notion of learning object context as a complex interplay of learning activities, learning objects, and learners. We now use that framework in conjunction with semantic annotation to generate different kinds of feedback (which we had identified by interviewing several Web educators) for educators to help them improve the learning process in Web-based settings. To test the feasibility of the proposed approach for feedback provision we developed a tool named LOCO-Analyst. Here we report on our experiences in developing LOCO-Analyst and using it to generate feedback out of the real data obtained from the iHelp Courses Learning Content Management,System. Finally, we present evaluation results.
