Concept of analytical databases in the creation of financial business strategy of a company

Abstract

This paper is in connection with the concept of totality of a company's financial business, which includes combining of all business processes and all significant activities, including: logging of financial documents, business operations, accounting, as well as control and analysis of financial business. The very creation of DW connected to commerce and financial business of a company, as well as OLAP applications that use the resources of that data warehouse should provide the company management with: access to all relevant data and by that quality support in decision-making, with the knowledge of causes and effects of past and future events. Therefore, this paper advocates application of analytical databases concept in the creation of financial business strategy of a company by using the methodology of object-oriented development of business intelligence.
