Abstract: The paper deals with business and managerial aspects of global creative industries. The focus is on achieving competitive advantages in a creative market. The diversified nature of creative industries is analyzed by considering growth opportunities at the beginning of the 21st century. Furthermore, the concept of a creative economy is defined in the context of its relations to culture, management and information and communication technologies. The business activities of creative enterprises and professionals presented in this paper suggest the challenges for the development of new business models in creative industries in the future.
