Abstract: The aim of this paper is to investigate and assess whether the skills needed by middle managers in Serbia are the same as the skills needed by managers in the West. The core of the paper is the survey which included 500 middle managers in different companies in Serbia. The aim was to identify the skills needed by middle managers in Serbia, in order to effectively carry out their managerial roles and to compare their skills to Western managers.
